  • For this process, you’ll need an account on this website.

Types of permits you can apply for on this site.

Step 1: Ensure your project needs a permit by checking the Work Exempt from Building Permits page.

Step 2: Decide whether your project will allow for Express Permits.

Step 3: If your project involves just one trade: Permits for specific trades (plumbing, electrical, etc).

Step 4: If your project involves more than one trade, you’ll need a Residential Plan - we recommend going in person to discuss the steps to this.

Step 5: Submit your permit application.

Step 6: Schedule an inspection.
