EPISODE 4 SUMMARY:

"People in power and privilege hold the burden of change."

This week, we're doing something a little different. Rather than a traditional interview, we wanted to share a recent webinar that  Kaneischa Johnson, a Austin-based inclusive leadership and culture advocate, prepared and presented for us. This collaboration was originally intended to serve as a the start of our team's internal education around the role of white supremacy in real estate, but grew into a larger conversation we wanted to share with our community as a whole.

This episode is fantastic starting point for anyone looking for brief history of racism and white supremacy built into real estate, steps to take when to recognize their own privilege and actionable ways to dismantle white supremacy despite being trapped in a capitalistic society. We hope it leaves you inspired (and somewhat prepared!) to ask hard questions, challenge standards, and face the ways you can empower your community through your own accountability.
